I just got back from the City Repair Council Meeting this evening, and they came to consensus on sponsoring the Ballyhoo! What does this mean? Well, it means that when I ask support from local businesses (donations, etc.) for the ballyhoo I can do so under City Repair's name. Hindi, a city repair council member, will be 'shepherding' me through the process of donation forms and receipts.
This is super exciting. It will definitely make the Ballyhoo more established and reputable. I hope that having City Repair on board with the festival will also bring out bigger numbers.
