List of Things That Need to Get Done

event volunteer projects, i.e. things that need to get done:

1. watermelon accuracy contest:
a. construct bull’s eye sheet (butcher paper? lamination?)
b. find a watemelon source – new seasons?
c. Phil – construct a watermelon helmet out of a hollow melon shell
2. d.i.y. ice cream relay race:
a. pedal powered ice cream churner ?
b. or ziplock bag egg toss style
c. get ingredients donated from local company
i. cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla essence, and fancy toppings
ii. carmel, chocolate and whipped cream for sundaes!
3. women's juggling booth
a. construct booth
b. build hula hoops
c. sew juggling balls
4. blindfolded face paint
a. find CHEAP face paint recipe
b. make all this crazy paint before the event.
c. Find a source of painting things – i.e. cotton balls, paint brushes,
and foam wedges
5. hellfire weenie roast
a. leah talk to this guy
6. rockin’ tunes
a. get the music box in functioning order
b. find a way to haul it - bike trailer
7. BYOBBQ
a. find many people with bbq’s
b. make them bring said bbq’s to event.
8. sidewalk chalk and genitalia pretzels
a. find a cheap source for plaster of paris and powdered tempra paint
b. get hot lips to donate/steal dough for genitalia breadsticks…
c. find a place to cook said breaksticks
d. spend a day mixing up sidewalk chalk in fun molds.
e. find a good sidewalk/street for marking up
9. random letter writing and phone book tearing tutorial
a. find good mail fraud games online
b. provide envelopes and stamps (donated from the IPRC?)
c. talk to dead letter about showing up
d. contact dude who rips phone books in half. become his apprentice for
a day.
10. wacky haircuts/head shaving/hair dying
a. round up at least 3 sets of hair clippers from friends (get these
before the day of)
b. ask Bishop to donate hair dye/bleach
c. get towels to cover victims with while they are being worked on
d. provide chairs for them to sit in OR find a good set of park benches
e. find a good source of electricity for the buzzers.
f. enlist phil to help with creative dying
g. get a good applicator for dye.
h. water source for rinsing
11. fort building
a. get box cutters, duct tape, and more large boxes donated
b. provide sheets – the bins could help, wash them first.
c. buy a bunch of p-cord for tying things to trees.
12. PARADES
a. animal parade: 1. provide extra costumes 2. make a banner to carry in
front 3. design a good route
b. dance party: 1. find a trailer to haul a sound system. 2. make a

c. bicycle parade: 1. provide flags for some participants 3. design a

d. marching band: 1. provide pots and pans for banging 2. make a banner

13. MOVIES
a. find venues

c. build a screen
d. pick and burn dvd’s with each days films

14. donut hole breakfast
a. find a great donut hole recipe
b. try that recipe on a coleman double burner
c. get ingredients donated from somewhere
d. make em a lot before
15. bike decoration project
a. enlist some of the sprockettes
b. get metro paint to donate spray paint
c. buy extra sleeves for laminating spoke cards
d. get tools for taking bikes apart enough to spray paint them
e. find a tarp to spray on
f. collect cereal boxes for precision painting
g. get fun stuff from SCRAP to tape to bike shiny plastic stuff maybe
h. tape for stripes
16. bike games
a. ask zoobombers to help

17. conquer mt. tabor
a. get ahold of a good climbing rope, not good rather, but long…
b. collect old climbing shit
c. built a great flag to post at the top
d. make sign markers with elev. posted for a few spots on the hike
18. strong person competition
a. get whipped cream, eggs, and other crepe ingredients donated
b. get berries donated
c. build light bulb stands for the light bulb challenge
d. round up a big rope and find out how to attach it to a car that we
will haul
19. lunch crepes and whipped cream
a. round up propane and a coleman double burner or two
b. pans too, get people to loan them to us
20. muddy wheel barrow bomb
a. get a set of super solid wheel barrows
b. collect some padding and gear for riders – ask zoobombers to share
theirs
c. find a good muddy hill
d. practice a bit, see if it’s as dangerous as it seems
e. water source for dousing the hill before hand
21.chubby bunny and saltine smash
a. buy marshmallows and saltines
b. get an amp and a microphone (covered in plastic wrap to avoid flying
shrapnel) to amplify the chubby bunny
c. round up a set of stopwatches
22. broom acrobatic races
a. bring a few brooms
b. make a sign?
